Hi! I am a holistic physician – I grew up making my own herbal remedies – drying leaves and crumbling them into my Mom’s old spice bottles. I yearned to travel around the world to meet and study with healers. But right in my own family, I found kindred spirits – Wise Women in my family – who taught me so much! I am drawn to connecting the old and the new, exploring science but also honoring our inner journey. I created this blog as a way to connect women who are interested in creating a life of vitality in the middle years…and beyond! Our experiences help us to become wiser women – can we embrace, and not resist, the changes? I hope you will join me in creating a community of women who create a life of vitality for ourselves with yummy, mind-altering foods – insightful mind and body techniques – luxurious, restorative sleep – energizing and memory-enhancing fitness routines, and other healing practices in our lives! We honor Wise Women who have taught us, and share our own wisdom, too! I also hope you will join me for my new workshops for “Naturally Wise Woman” in 2012!
Mindfully Yours,
Philippa

Hello Philippa! Carla and I just watched the video of Aunt Donnie. Wow! It was so great to hear her voice. I am remembering that Grandmother Baker and her mother were also know for their ability to heal and make medicine. MQ called one of them a “Woods Woman”!
I am very proud of you and wish you well. I will have Carla to send the video link to Quinton. He was really fond of her.
Thank you! Quinton has helped me so much with family history and told me how Aunt Donnie gave the children peach tree leaf tea for fevers.
